With a wealth of knowledge to share, Karen has worked for MOE, RTLB and Oranga Tamariki as a Family Group Conference Coordinator. Karen has had leadership roles in these organisations. As a result of her vast experience, Karen strongly feels that for clients to reap the benefits of supervision, it is essential that a relationship is established based on trust and discretion.
After working for many years supporting colleagues in various professions by providing professional supervision, Karen Campbell is well versed in creating positive change and relationships that facilitates professional growth and personal development.
Karen has taken on the roles of Practice Leader for Ministry of Education and was a Positive Behaviour for Learning Facilitator training schools in positive behaviour strategies. This included taking training sessions for school leadership teams, facilitating network meetings, assessing and tracking progress for schools on their school wide behaviour systems.
She was a Practice Leader and Cluster Manager for the RTLB service and set up supervision systems as well as years of experience of providing supervision for RTLB.
She is well versed with many techniques of supervision, participated in specific supervision training and is trained in person-centred counselling, solution focused questioning techniques and appreciative inquiry. She uses different models that suit the client and they have an active role in how they prefer to engage in supervision.
